And all you have to do to enter is tell us about a great moment you've shared with the Dad in your life - in the comments section below.

We'll be drawing our lucky winners on Friday 30 August, just in time for Father's Day on the Sunday. Good luck!

My best daddy moments are watching my hubby with our kids! He is firm with them but has fun too. They take after him in so many ways, I love to watch their relationships build and the bond they share. He's a great partner and a great daddy. He deserves to win as he needs special treats just for him!

My most recent favourite Dad moment was last week. I had stopped off and got some snacks my Dad likes. He left $3 in my sons gumboot for them. When I got home I got a text from Dad saying, "Did you get the $3 I left in Liam's gumboot?" I replied with, "Did you get the $3 I put back in your wallet?" The answer I got back was a simple, "Smart A**!".

My favourite Dad moment(s) are now as a Mother myself - watching the love Dad has for my little ones, his Grand kids.

Aimee Coleman on 19 August 2013 13:07
My dad is the best dad anyone could ask for. My best memory of my dad is at my brothers wedding when my brother danced with his wife for their first dance, half way through my dad got me up on the dance floor and my other little brother got my mum on the dance floor and as a family we all danced - Was really special and a memory that I will never forget. And it was all dads idea to make us feel like a family

My best Dad moment was when I was about 7 and learning to drive, I misjudged the OPEN gate and hit the strainer post. Dad was walking towards my trying his hardest to look grumpy but it was all he do not to burst out laughing. His advice on the situation 'you aim for the big open space that way you won't hit anything' :)

My fav Daddy moment is when we went fishing, the sea was a little rough, and both dad and I were feeling a little green. The fish weren't biting and we were about to call it a day when dad ended up throwing up over the side of the boat. Sure enough the fish started biting for me. Dad stayed out there feeling sick just so I could catch some fish and then he drove the boat all the way back looking very pale!! The things fathers do for their daughters!!!

Catching Dad cooking dinner while dancing with his 6 month baby girl! Priceless.

My Dad has initiated a Father and Daughter dinner each year for my birthday gift. It's a special one:one time together.

I will never forget the look of sheer terror on my dad's face when I had my first driving lesson with him - we still laugh about it to this day!

My husband John is the best dad in the world to our five year old son. He is always up in the night when our son is sick. He drops our to school and picks him up from school. Hes awesome dad. They even put up with me. Which is wonderful. We love him very. xoxoxoxo :-)

My best time with my Dad Was when he spent the weekends playing games (monopoly mainly) with me

Fiona Modderman on 19 August 2013 14:09
I am now a mother of 3 and had a special moment recently when I got to go down and spend the weekend with just my Dad (Mum overseas) and my 5 month old daughter. Dad cooked me dinner each night, had bought a bottle of wine, bought an apple pie and cream and even gone and got me special cereal he thought I might like! My Dad and I never get time like this to spend just the two of us. It was an awesome weekend. Love my father!

Claire Baker on 20 August 2013 11:56
The morning after my daughter was born, Nathan (daddy) came back to the hospital after some r and r. I will never. forget him sitting with her on a chair under the window, talking to her. They were looking directly stat each other when Isabella began to what sounded like, sing! Three and a half years later they both make up silly nonsense songs together. Such a special to us.

This is my husband's first Dads Day and he will be celebrating it with our 3month old little lass Mirren Heather. My current greatest moment of these two together is when we took Mirren to the beach for the first time all wrapped up on daddy's front pack watching the sunset- a close second moment is when she caught daddy off guard with a 'super poo' right in the crotch between changing the old nappy for the new! We would love this BBQ for our family's first summer together (-:

My best Dad moment was watching my kids faces when Grandad designed and built by himself the most magnificent playhouse for my two girls. Then watching their Dad and Grandad built the fence so they could play safely outside whenever they wanted. And I can tell you it has made my life much easier too :>

Clare Thompson on 19 August 2013 21:25
I just adore watching my dad playing with our wee girls. I always new my dad was great but he's even better as a pop! The patience and respect he has for the kids is gorgeous and they appreciate every moment they get with him.

Philippa Keenan on 19 August 2013 13:34
My best "dad' moment would be the night before I was to be induced with my first child. My partner had to work and everyone else was busy so Dad came over and the two of us just sat and chatted for hours. Got me through what would have been a very nervous evening alone otherwise. Love my dad :)

Kristy Dekker on 19 August 2013 20:24
My great moments with my stepdad is when he used to veeery slowly drive me around the workshop on his motorbike every week. It wasn't good for the bike but he knew I loved it!!

Roseanna Sprague on 21 August 2013 12:33
Dad and I would do the weekly shop together on a Thursday evening at Pak'n'Save - he never tired of singing loudly down the aisles to mortify me - I now think of those special times fondly - and without embarrassment!

Amanda Fuller on 19 August 2013 14:28
Now that I have 2 kids of my own, I fully apprieciate how much my Dad has always been there for my Brother and I. Like many people my parents separated when I was 3 and when we shifted, Dad drove 1hr 20mins each way to pick us up to spend every 2nd weekend with him without fail. He also made our weekends together fun and special. I am truly lucky to have such a wonderful man as my Dad!

Marissa Holland on 19 August 2013 14:12
Running late for work i asked my partner to please take our daughter (2years) to daycare. When i picked her up i noticed her teachers were looking a little puzzled. Her father had sent her off to school in one of those tops that are longer at the back short at the front, thinking it was a dress. The poor girls nappy was bigger than her outfit. I had to laugh and apologise profusely to her teachers for being sent daycare dressed like that! Im sure thats something they will be able to share a laugh over at her 21st!

Eden Galo on 19 August 2013 15:51
Being a new mother and losing my own father within the same year i have really cherished every little thing my partner and father have done for me. My favourite moment with my Dad was when he took me to do my blood tests while i was carrying and i wasnt allowed to eat for hours and he didnt eat with me so we were sitting in the waiting room, both our stomachs rumbling! haha then as soon as i finished we went and ate straight away! :)

Natasha Cooper on 19 August 2013 17:24
My best memories are going to the park with dad, playing in the duck pond and feeding the ducks, pushing us on the swings and merry go round and eating ice cream. He always there and loves us no matter what.

One of my most favorite memories with my Dad is at the beach, we used to go every summer time and he would make an *island* out of sand and it was our castle:-) I will treasure those memories for EVER! Love you Dad.xx

My best dad moment I are the little things, just thinking back now he would always make sure dinner was on the table once we got home & always came to check on us when he got home late from work. I would pretend I was asleep!

Varunarasi Hewa on 22 August 2013 16:32
when my son was 7months old he wanted to hug me when my husband's hugging me but with age it has changed and now he is not very keen to see me kissing my husband or vise versa and he is all over his daddy if he feels like my husband's going to cuddle me. Love them xxxx

Sam Yule on 19 August 2013 20:15
Watching them play together as if they were both the same age. Funny and cute, always puts a smile on my face :)

Peggy De Laat on 19 August 2013 17:16
I love it when daddy puts me on his lap and moves me back and forward while singing “Row row row your boat”. It makes me laugh so hard! (Freya – 6 months).

Deborah Sykes on 19 August 2013 20:57
My best dad moment was shortly after our little girl was born. I had had a C-section and my husband took on the job of changing the first nappy and giving her her first bath even though he was really nervous about it. Seeing him lovingly hold her made me feel so lucky he was my husband and that he was my little girls daddy

Melissa Caddle on 19 August 2013 14:01
I asked my 3 yr old daughter her favourite dad moments.... "I love his snuggles and how he holds my hand when I balance..! I always know I won't fall with my daddy!" Awww precious. He really is a great dad to our 2 beautiful kids and another on the way! Always has time to be the fun playing dad even though he has a very demanding busy job!! ❤❤❤

When i was 8 my parents broke up. me and my sister would go and stay with my dad every two weeks so we always used to make the most of it as it was only for a few days. Dad always wanted boys but got two girls instead although he treated us as boys. My dad made us a go cart each which we used to drive around his field constantly! my special moment was one hot day we were driving around the field and dad came out with a hose and started spraying the ground so we could skid around the field and get mud everywhere! in the end we all had a mud fight afterwards it was great fun!! now my dad has two wee grandsons of his own which he is really looking forward to turning into petrol heads like he did us!

Rebecca Nolan on 20 August 2013 21:52
I loved it when my dad took me away fishing in the 80's & I got to gut all the fish! I'm nearly 40 now and he was at my house today fixing my door while I was at work :-) Truely a fabulous father and grandfather that gives unconditionally!

After losing our first pregnancy more than half way through, my husband was understandably very anxious through the next one. When our daughter finally arrived , I will always remember the look of pride and pure love written all over his face (not to mention a few sneaky tears) the moment he first saw and held her. Since then he has been so doting and involved, never wanting to miss a beat. Evie couldn't have hoped for a better dad

Megan Morris on 19 August 2013 13:36
The greates moment with my father was finding out that while i was birthing my son you stood right outside the door with tears streaming down. We didnt even no he was there till my mum rang him from in the room and he said yes i no i just heard my precious grandson cry. Complety broke my heart in a happy way. Couldnt ask for a better father, dont know what i would do without him he is my rock and my everything.

My special moment is when my partner carries our daughter in the front pack so proudly, he wants everyone to see her and she loves it!

Erena Warrington on 19 August 2013 21:35
My dad is so generous. He's always looking out for my well being. He shouted me a fireplace (!!) last visit because it was especially cold and our heat pump struggles to keep up when it's really cold. He's always looking out for me!

Natasha Cooper on 19 August 2013 17:22

My greatest 'dad moment' is seeing my partner, as a new dad, playing the guitar and singing in a goofy voice to our 10 week old baby boy. He'll do anything for a smile and giggle! He's totally devoted - best dad ever!

My birth parents were very young when i was born, and so my grandparents took over that responsibility. My grandparents are the only parents I know, they migrated from Niue when dad was 19years, and have never lost site of their culture. Dads english is what alot of us call 'broken', but to me its enough to know how much he loves me. He has never treated me any different, hes always thier when its bad, hes helped me through my young years as a mother, and has the greatest patience with all that his children do, good and bad. Dad is now 78 years old, he has lived through the hard years of working for his family, his wife, kids and even his grandkids .... we love him Loads. Very blessed to have him in our lives. A moment i will treasure is during the saddest time for our family. My fathers daughter had only a few days with us she was loosing her fight to cancer. We bring her home, and dad just cried and cried by her bedside. We all tried to comfort him, and say it would be fine. But through his tears he says "I cry now, so my daughters sees how much i love her, when she is gone, she will not see my tears through her eyes on this earth", when she passed, my dad held his tears and sang his farewell song to his daughter, by mums side. Love♥♡ u dad

One of my favourite 'dad moments' was when my partner used to take our little girl out for a couple of hours so mummy could get a rest. He would take her to the gym where he worked and do sit ups with her and play with the big Swiss ball. I'm not surprised that at 1 years old she would pretend to do squats with the breathing and everything! She loves her daddy

We have only just found out we are expecting a little one in January - and are both very excited! Since I told my partner we were expecting, he has been amazing. Feeling bubz kick for the first time was such a special experience - the first one of many more to come!
My partner always celebrates Mothers Day for me as we have a dog - so this year I would love to spoil him and let him know how much I appreciate him being there for me through my pregnancy! He is going to be a fantastic Dad and I can not wait to share this journey together!

Joanna Morrison on 19 August 2013 14:34
My favourite moment with my Dad, was a few hours after I'd given birth to my little girl. My Dad arrived at the hospital to meet her. He sat holding her and they both just stared at each other, it was a very special moment, and he is such a lovely Grandad to her.

Chrissie Hogben on 19 August 2013 13:24
My favourite moment with the dad in my life would have to be with my partner and the day we went for our fist scan for our baby. Seeing the immense joy on my partner's face and the tear in his eye made my heart swell. I knew right then that he is going to be the best father to our baby boy. I could not love him any more than at that moment. I am currently still pregnant but have approx. 1 week to go. It would be lovely if baby decides to come on the 1st of Sep. as not only is that father's day but also our anniversary. If we were to win the BBQ it would be used to cook a celebratory meal for our close family and to mark the beginning of many more father's day for the greatest man I know.

One of my favorite dad moments is watching my husband lovingly put both our new newborn and our toddler into the pushchair to take them for a long walk so that I could have a nap that I was so desperate for. Looked pretty special walking down the driveway with my girls

Philippa Waters on 24 August 2013 15:21
I lost my dad when I was 6 years old so I cherish all the dad moments my partner has with our two wee boys. My partner didn't know his dad growing so he also knows the importance of hanging out with his boys. They follow him around like two little shadows.

Christine Kuck on 19 August 2013 14:28
My daddy is the best because he always makes me laugh, he always has time for me and tells me every day how much he loves me. This is my daddys first fathers day and I hope he has a great one xxx AJ

I had my first child 6 weeks early. My husband and I were living away from home at the time. Within minutes of my son being born, (and taken away to Neo-natal Intensive Care) I rung home, and my Dad answered. It was 4.30am!! He was overwhelmed by my exciting news. Since hearing about me going in pre-term labour, he was anxious to know what was happening, and hadn't gone to bed. He was so relieved to hear about our safe wee arrival, and said he could now happily go off to bed knowing we were all ok! So amazing. I love you so much Dad XXOO

Janice Zheng on 19 August 2013 16:09
My dad steadfast and unconditional love for me throughout the test of time, despite me having made bad choices and breaking his heart.
A moment locked in time was him telling me that he loved me (with tears in his eyes) when I was in hospital after defying him and getting involved in a motor bike race, breaking my leg in the process. I knew then, that everything would be alright - that was 14 years ago.

Michelle Buckler on 20 August 2013 11:22

There has been so many great moments I have had with my Dad we have a very special and close connection as Father and Daughter. A little while ago my Dad got diagnosed with Hepatitis B and became very sick very fast, I was at his bedside all the time getting him anything he wanted and sneaking him chocolate when Mum wasn't watching. I think around this time was when I have some of the best memories of my Dad I grew so close to him. Today he is healthy and strong and we still share plenty of great moments together and he has helped me and my family out a lot with building a new deck and other DIY projects around the house. Whenever I need him I know he will always be there.

My little ones father is great with my son, he teaches him all sorts when he gets home from work he feeds him teaches him to chew, dances with him, teaches him actions it's so funny to watch. At the playground teaches him to climb different things it's amazing watching my little one learn off his dad so quickly and each day is a new adventure with them :)

Erena Warrington on 19 August 2013 21:28
Best daddy moments: seeing tears twinkle in his eyes as he tells me our baby is a girl. Letting his daughter suck on the tip of his nose so I can get an extra 20mins sleep, and proudly sporting the bright red mark for the next few days. He's such a wonderful daddy!

My parents weren't able to be with me during the birth of my son. We informed them that I had to be induced at 9pm and we'll just call them in the morning. When I gave birth at 2:30am, I just felt and knew that my Dad was still up and so I asked my husband to call home. And as I have thought, Dad wasn't able to sleep while I was delivering. :)

I feel so blessed to have my Dad. He's had some rough times, but through these he always told me that I am his "happy thought." This meant a lot to me growing up, and gave me the confidence and security that no matter how bad things get, there's always one person I love and who loves me that I make happy just by simply being me.

Fast forward to my son's birth again, knowing that we had a baby boy made me and my husband even happier because we knew that my Dad has been wishing for a grandson. I'm the eldest of his three daughters is why. He has printed most of the bub's pictures and my sisters tell me they're proudly displayed at home ha ha. <3 We love you, GrandPa. Happy Father's Day! XOXO

My partner Leon is such a wonderful father to our son daejahn. Daejahn is now 3 and can be a handful at times but his dad always brings the best out of him Leon is a great father to our son because of the great quality time he gives also making the most out of every moment. He has been there through every mile stone I could think of. They are so close they are inseparable sometimes. So thanks Leon for being a great role model for our son.

my dad is the best dad because he has always been there for me he was the first person i rang (after ambo)when i found my partner unconscious on the floor upon returning from work he was there when ambo guys told me my partner had already passed due to major heart attack my dad rang my father in law to inform him as i couldn't,and then stayed the night at our house as i didn't want to wake our baby to stay at dads so we weren't alone best dad in the world :) without him i don't know how i would've got through

Wow, just one great moment! If I had to choose it would be our father/daughter dance at my wedding. I chose his favourite song 'Crystal Chandilier' by Charlie Pride. He is so shy, but he danced the whole song. Loved that moment! Love my Dad. He's the best!

When our first baby was born, early and fast, I went into shock. My midwife led me into the shower where I stood for the next 40 minutes. As I pieced my thoughts together an overwhelming sense of guilt hit me. At not even an hour old I had abandoned my new baby. I quickly dried and dressed and entered the delivery room to find my husband looking adoringly at our baby girl who was contentedly sleeping, cradled in her daddy's arms. He took my hand and pulled me into our first family cuddle and simply said "thank you".

My Hubby is an awesome Dad, he loves getting outside and playing with the kids or curling up on the couch to watch the latest kids movie with them, he reads to them at bedtime and tucks them in.

My Mum wanted me to be a real girly girl. Sending me to ballet, trying to teach me to sew & bake. But I much preferred to hang out with my Dad helping with his DIY projects, trout fishing and going with him in his truck to the depot and help clean it. My favourite photo of my childhood is of us building the front fence together. I always remember he would give me the last dollar in his pocket to buy a fizzy. Much love to my Dad!

My best Dad moment is watching my husband with our 5 month old son when he gets home from work. Our happy baby boy does a special dance for his Daddy and there are many smiles and giggles while they play games and at bathtime. He's a fantastic Father as he works very hard for us without asking for anything in return and he always makes time for us.

My husband has is the greatest Daddy to our 6 month old girl. He has changed many a nappy, taken her for walks in the pram to give me a break and much more. The best "daddy moment" that stands out for me is whenever my hubby comes home from work, and no matter what our daughter is doing, she will stop what she is doing and give him the biggest smile and cuddles - its just so sweet to watch, This was especially more heart warming when my hubby came home from spending 3 nights in hospital when our daughter was 3 months old, and she did not want to leave her Daddy's side (she had a constant fixed grin for the rest of the day).

Through out my childhood my Dad was battling Cancer. He lost his battle 4 years ago just before fathers day. My fondest memory of Dad is how brave he was through out it all and also how much he loved Pavlova. If you had Pavlova you always had to save him a slice to take him. It always put a smile on his face. We now make him one in his memory on his anniversary and birthday every year.

The Dad in our house is amazing and our children and I are so lucky to have him in our lives. I really love seeing the little things - Dad playing hairdresser with our little girl and attempting to put pig tails in her hair - those moments are truly priceless :-).

My most special Dad moment was not long after the birth of my first child. I'd had a very hard few weeks, a long labour that ended with a c-section and then I was rehospitalised with an infection. I was unwell, tired & just going through what a lot of new mums go through, including baby blues. On my first day at home by myself my father rang me in the morning to see how I was - I burst into tears and he was at my house within 15 mins, took my son off my hands & helped care for him (and me) for the rest of the day and then came over to check on us or take bubs off my hands to let me rest for the next few weeks. I will never forget how, when I needed him most, my Dad was there for me.

My husband (Dad to kids) has amazing kiwi ingenuity. No project is to hard - building, plumbing, electrical. He's teaching the kids these skills too which is awesome. Last year the 4 burner BBQ broke - an element rusted right off - he has temporarily repaired this one with a spanner jammed in to hold it up! I'm not sure on how safe this is so a new BBQ for the family would be fab! We love to BBQ with friends - Dad also cooks a great steak on the BBQ!

Peggy De Laat on 19 August 2013 17:16
I love it when daddy puts me on his lap and moves me back and forward while singing “Row row row your boat”. It makes me laugh so hard! (Freya – 6 months).

My Dad has been there through the rises and the fails. There have been so many moments that words cant describe how much he has been there with love and a shoulder to cry on. How much support he has given me and my children over the years. All it takes is a phone call and his words comfort. Thank you Dad.

My favourite step dad moment is when he took me out fishing just once that I really enjoyed it and now I go fishing every weekend and when I do catch fish hes number one on my list to share my catch with. Happy Fathers day dad

My husband is the best Dad in the world, well I think so anyway. We have 2 children that are 5 and 6. He was a stay at home Dad up until 8 months ago. He really struggled through this time with the stigma around the man not being the bread winner. But through all of that he has supported me and made our family a stronger team. We would not be who we are today without him. He dotes on our 2 boys. He also has 2 teenagers from a previous relationship and all the stressors that go with having teenagers - need I say more. It would be wonderful for him to get one of these BBQs as we have just had to get rid of ours after it fell apart!!

I can't say enough how wonderful my husband is as a father to our son, Luke. Luke fell off the couch the other day while walking on it. Even after about 5 minutes of crying we noticed that he did not stop crying and was not moving his left arm. Striaht away we thought his left shoulder joint was displaced and we panicked. We ran to the hospital emergency. Once things were settled and we returned home, my husband realised that he put on his shirt inside out! Then he said "this is how much I love Luke!". Laughter... I was so touched when I thought of the moment of my husband putting on his shirt only thinking of Luke's wellbeing. Jenny xx

My husband is my daddy hero. He always lights up when he sees our son each day after work. He is so excited to cuddle him and play with him, its really awesome. He wants to do all the little routine things that our son needs and that help me out because he loves him and me so much. He is a wonderful father and a great husband. Happy Father's dad to all dads - you guys are all amazing!!!

My special moment was the first time my partner saw our baby son - he missed the birth by a mere 5 minutes - our boy was in such a hurry to meet his daddy! He'd hurried the 40km's to the hispital after 'the' phone call, but arrived just too late - we waited for him to cut the cord, which was sauch a brave thing for him to do, as he's a bit 'funny' with blood and stuff. He scooped our son up into his arms, and just stared into his eyes. whilst we both shed a few proud tears. He and our son still have such a special bond now he's 3 months old, he hurries home after work to play with him before bedtime, and the light in both of their eyes is just magical.

Although my Dad has died I still am able to have a great moment with him in that a couple of years ago he gave me a book that he had read to me as a child that he had won as a kid. It was an adventure story which I loved. When he sent me the book he wrote this wonderful letter to me explaining how he won the book and the influence it had had on his life. I now share a wonderful moment with him every time I get out the letter and re-read it and I remember all those many books that he read to me throughout my childhood.

My best “dad” moment is seeing my husband waking up with me in the middle of the night to feed our (now) 12- week old baby. From the day we got home from the hospital up until now he always get up to help; from making me hot drinks, singing ABC while changing our baby’s nappy, to putting our son again to sleep. He doesn’t want to miss out on spending time with baby and I. To top it all, he goes to work full time too. For me he is the best dad and deserves special treats for himself :)

This will my my first fathers day without my dad, he passed unexpectedly early this year. One of my favourite moments that I will treasure is when he loaded up 2 motorbikes on the ute and trailer and we went up to his hill farm, he took me right up the top and we could see all up the Coromandel and right down the Kaimai ranges, beautiful and special. So I'd like to win this for my husband for him to create some special moments with our girls.

The best moment was when my dad picked me up from school one day and put a cardboard box on my lap, when I opened it to my surprise there was the one thing I had always wanted - a dog! I will always remember that, it is a special memory.

My Dad has always been there for us in a quiet, background sort of way. Since being diagnosed with cancer which is now terminal, he is so much free-er to be real with my sisters and I; telling us he loves us often, and saying the good stuff we often think and appreciate about each other but don't say. These are going to be even more special Dad-moments in the future!

Angela Natali on 22 August 2013 22:24

My best "dad' moment would be the night before I was to be induced with my first child. My partner had to work and everyone else was busy so Dad came over and the two of us just sat and chatted for hours. Got me through what would have been a very nervous evening alone otherwise. Love my dad :)

Tiffany Wagstaff on 19 August 2013 17:57
So many amazing Dad moments to count... but my Dad has gone to a whole new level of amazing now that I'm starting my own family. I probably realised this most when he sent me an email, addressed to "my girl and squidget" (squidget is my unborn baby girl), and signed off "love you both, granddad". He's a tough blokey bloke but it's moments like this that I realise how much his family, especially his kids, mean to him.

Kylie Puklowski on 19 August 2013 14:56
Dads never had much money, but his heart is made of gold, a winner but not rich, a friend of young and old. Stubborn and set in his ways our heads they sometimes bang, but in the next second alls forgotten as he busts out some puff daddy thang. Walks in the forest birdnesting and shooting, whitebaiting and fishing, dusty rally driving - on the corners be tooting. All wonderful memories i will forever treasure...Thankyou me ol hippy DAD I LOVE YOU FOREVER.. xoxoxo

When he comes home from a hard day at work theres a specIal dance for Daddy and they have games with smiles, giggles and fun at bathtime. I feel extremely lucky to have such a hardworking husband who always makes the time and effort for us both every day without asking for anything in return. He's not just a great Dad, he's fantastic loving and unselfish Father.

Our mother died just over a year ago and Dad has been so amazing. Both my sister and I are expecting our first babies within 6 weeks of each other and Dad has been a doting grandfather already! We live in different cities so whether it''s him buying cute little outfits for the baby, sending me special pregnancy body butter for my ever expanding belly, or just texting every day asking how me and the baby are getting on and requesting updates, he's been wonderful. The best Dad ever and he will make the best Poppa.

Kelly Reid on 19 August 2013 15:32
Well, in all honesty - every day for me is my favourite Dad Moment. I have an amazing Dad who never asks for anything and never expects anything. He does everything for everyone and is ALWAYS there for me when ever I need him. My Dad means the world to me! I am an only child so I never had a brother or sister to play with or blame things on as a kid ! And my Dad would always play games with me, let me win, come and jump on the tramp with me, play hide & seek (down the hall way in the dark.. which was really scary!) I love everything about my Dad! <3
AND, as a Mum of 3 now, He does EXACTLY the same for my 3 beautiful girls. They can always count on him to be silly and act like a kid!
One thing I do remember as a child is every time he came to pick me up from Kindy ALL the kids would go and jump on him and we wouldn't be able to leave until he read a story or played a game with them! :)
My 3 beautiful children also have an amazing Dad/Step Dad. He is so much like my own Dad and loves the children more than anything in the world. And I love every single day knowing I have these amazing people in our lives! I can't wait to enjoy so many more wonderful Dad moments!
LOVE YOU DAD & LEE xoxoxoxoxo

My Dad means the world to me cos even after 43 years nothing is a problem, he always has time for me and always wants the best. I think its a wonderful thing when we get to share and give back. I wouldnt be able to name 1 moment but I do love how he taugh me all the things he taught my brothers. Fishing and filleting your catch. A new BBQ would be a real treat at our camp site over summer!

On my wedding dad my dad surprised us with a box containing 2 doves that we had to open and let fly away. He wrote a poem about love and read it us. It was the most amazing surprise anyone could of done and he was so proud of me.

LAUGHTER it's the greatest gift that my Dad has passed on - though thank goodness not his laugh! As a teen my Dad would always make us laugh. I remember sitting around the table with my friends and my Dad telling a good old 'back in my day' story. He's built up this great story and then says "I just got so frustration" Oh it was the best and he laughed and laughed and when we said Dad we're laughing at you he said yea I know. Special Moments Like these and ten years on my friends and I still giggle! :)

He is going to be a fantastic Dad and I can not wait to share this journey together!

the day my husband became a father for the first time was a fantastic father moment. son was off to neo natal and he kept going from there to the ward where i was updating, photos, etc...due to having cesarean couldnt move to go be with my newborn son. He was finally cleared to be with me that night and the new father had to change his first nappy. priceless.

Our little girl loves the time she spends with her daddy who takes her into the bush to watch the birds and see all the different plants and bugs out there. Thank you Daddy! (Elodie 13 months)

My favourite Dad moment so far has been seeing my husband, a new dad, sitting talking to my Dad, with 3 month old Lucy inbetween them, sharing the time with her and all three generations happy as Larry.

My best dad moment is watching my husband with our 5 month old beautiful happy baby boy.

My husband to be gives our boys great Dad moments each day. We have a 5 year old who isn't biologically his, but he is his 'Dad' all the same. It hasn't happened yet but I anticipate my favourite DAD moment to be when he officially signs our eldest boys adoption papers to become his legal father. He is a great role model for our boys and is a wonderul man.. despite what has happened to him in the past. We love him and couldn't imagine life without the head of home.

My father never asks for anything and has a heart of gold, he would take his shirt off his back for anyone and is well known to give away his last dollar if he had to. A moment I will cherish for the rest of my life is when I got married in Rarotonga. I have never seen my father shed a tear in my life until the day I got married. We were getting ready to say our vowels and the celebrant asked my father if he would accept the marriage of my husband and I. There was a quite moment and he never said a word, my heart started to beat quickly so I turned quickly and my father was walking in the other direction. When we got his attention he had missed what the celebrant had said. At that very moment he realised he was letting go of his little girl and there was a sea of tears flooding down his face. He walked back up the front and said "I am so happy for you my girl and I definitely do" nawwww always makes me emotional thinking about it xxxxx

Most recent favorite Daddy moment, walking into the bathroom to find both Daddy and 6 month old Daughter in the bubble bath covered in bubbles splashing and laughing with the plastic balls from the ball pit. Biggest smiles on both their faces and cheeky grins when I walked in to discover the mess!! Adorable!

Our Dad is the best dad in the world, he has taught us so many things. He is always there for us when we need him and we are very grateful for having a dad just like him. Our poor dad's heart stopped a few weeks ago, he was very lucky it started again but has since had to have a pacemaker put in. It is now our turn to look after dad. We love you Dad, Happy Father's Day, Gemma & Sophie xxxx

My hubby is the best dad to our daughter. Whenever he has his time off, he would just simply play & sing to our daughter, he would do wacky things to amuse her. He's such a good provider, he'll give the world to us. I am so proud of him. Happy father's day to all dads out there. Be proud!

My best Dad moment would be when we moved to Christchurch together while my mum stayed behind to sell our house. My dad and I bonded way more during this time than we ever did. Special!
